SafeSearch Enforcer is an extension (addon) which forces search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex and DuckDuckGo to use the strict mode on their safesearch options.
Process name: safeIt.js
Release Year: 2017
Operating System: All (Firefox and Chrome [manual instalation])
Language: Portuguese (pt_BR) and English (en_GB)
Licence: Nintersoft Open Source Code Licence
What does it make?
Trying to provide a safest internet environment not only for the children but also for the families, we decided to develop an extension that pratically obligates the search engines to proccess the queries in a safer mode, even if the configuration is changed manually, it will be restored to the strictiest role.
You may see this extension as unnecessary, but unfortunately other content filtering extensions do not provide this feature, and alternative blocking methods like DNS and Proxy also do not filter site searchs, therefore this extension should be a complement for other solutions of family protection.
Support for the most well known search engines
Currently this extension supports four known search engines:
- Google : Domains and subdomains.
- Bing : Domains and subdomains.
- Yahoo : Domains and subdomains.
- Yandex : Domains and subdomains.
- DuckDuckGo : Domains and subdomains.
